THE ROLE

ASTONJET Ltd. is looking for a qualified person to take on the role of MCC Engineer. The MCC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the operational readiness and safety of the fleet by overseeing and coordinating all maintenance activities through the Maintenance Control Centre.

Your role will involve managing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with flight operations, maintenance teams, and external vendors to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with aviation regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage the scheduling and coordination of all maintenance activities for the aircraft fleet, ensuring minimal disruption to flight schedules and compliance with aviation regulations.
  • Provide real-time technical support and troubleshooting for flight crews experiencing maintenance-related issues, ensuring quick resolution to minimize aircraft downtime.
  • Monitor the ongoing maintenance status of all aircraft, ensuring that all required inspections, repairs, and certifications are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with regulatory standards (FAA, EASA, etc.).
  •  Be available on an on-call basis to assist with urgent maintenance issues, including providing remote troubleshooting advice or arranging for immediate technical support in the field.
     
  • Collaborate with flight operations and maintenance teams to prioritize maintenance activities, balancing urgent and scheduled tasks to maintain fleet availability and safety.
  • Coordinate with external service providers, maintenance repair organizations (MROs), and parts suppliers to facilitate repairs and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including service history, parts used, and troubleshooting actions, ensuring full compliance with company procedures and regulatory bodies.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and process improvements within the MCC to enhance operational efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and optimize fleet performance. 
  • Ensure that necessary parts and materials are readily available to perform unscheduled maintenance, managing spare parts inventory and facilitating the rapid procurement of critical components.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS 
  • A degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience in aviation maintenance.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance or aviation operations, with a background in Maintenance Control or related roles, preferably in private aviation or corporate flight operations.
  • In-depth understanding of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
  • Familiarity with various types of aircraft used in private aviation is preferred.
  • Certifications or equivalent (EASA, etc.) are highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address maintenance issues in real-time and coordinate solutions effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with flight crews, internal teams, and external maintenance providers.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with regard to maintenance records, regulatory compliance, and safety protocols.
  • Fast paced and dynamic work environment where quick thinking and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential.
  • Availability to respond to urgent maintenance issues outside of normal working hours as part of the on-call rotation.
  • The role may require rotating shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays, as it is a critical, 24/7 operation within the MCC.

  • Contract: Fulltime 40 hours/week, permanent employment
